Every year we publish the salaries behind the offers we see. This year's guide covers 340 placements and 1,200 offers across four cities, from September 2025 to August 2026.
What changed this year
Base salaries for senior engineers rose 4% in London and 6% in Berlin. Equity shrank: fewer offers included it, and the median grant was smaller. Remote roles paid 8% less than the same role in London, but the gap closed for staff-level engineers.

How to use these numbers
Ranges are base salary only, before bonus and equity. If an offer sits below the range for your city and level, ask what is behind it: sometimes it is a bigger equity grant, sometimes it is not.
